Hello! Here at Phase Three Brewing Company, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive quality control program. We are rigorous about monitoring the quality of our beer at every stage in the production process, and hold our beer to high standards of quality and satisfaction.

Best practices for enjoyment

  • Enjoy our beer as soon as you can as you purchase it. All beer tastes less intense and distinct as time passes.

  • Our "Enjoy-by" dates are guidelines for experiencing the beer as it was designed. Beer is safe to consume beyond this timeframe, but we can't recommend it from a flavor perspective.

  • The alcohol content, carbohydrate profile, and low pH of packaged beer makes it inhospitable to microorganism growth. Still, we take extensive measures to prevent possible contamination by so-called "beer-spoiling organisms," which are not harmful to health but rather can cause souring or refermentation (things we generally don't want!).

  • All our beer produced with fruit puree (and a few others) is batch-pasteurized in order to minimize any risk of refermentation.

  • For kegs of beer produced with fruit puree, you can help ensure proper pouring by storing it upside-down and then rocking it a bit prior to dispense.

  • Store your beer cold in order to slow its aging away from fresh flavors. You can't stop any beer from aging, but low storage temperature can slow it down a lot.
